IW Leads Talk on Mental and Overdose Awareness

In support of the Montgomery Goes Purple Initiative, Interfaith Works (IW) will spotlight practices that can inspire stigma-free recovery at its virtual Community Conversation on Thursday, September 29 from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Under the theme, “Mental Health and Overdose Awareness,” experts such as Ben E. Stevenson II, Presentation and Harm Reduction Manager at the Montgomery Country Department of Health and Human Services; Brittany Sanzo, Hotline Supervisor at EveryMind;  and Liz Krueger,  Program Director of the Interfaith Works Rapid Rehousing Program and Interfaith Works Residences, will share how people can inspire productive public dialogue and celebrate those who are helping people, families, and communities.

“We hope that the conversation can broaden our understanding of mental health, so we can help increase access to healthcare and community support for those who need it,” Reverend Dr. Rosetta Robinson, IW Director of Faith and Community Partnerships, said.

Guests are invited to register at https://cutt.ly/fVD7MmB.

The IW event is a continuing series of conversations that give attention to priority issues and solutions  that can strengthen pathways to stability of neighbors in need in Montgomery County.
