Donors offer encouraging comments to students as they head back to school

Dear Friend:

I have been so inspired by the incredible support for this year’s Back-to-School campaign. The campaign is dedicated to ensuring students have the tools to learn and their families have access to vital programs that provide access to food, clothing, home goods and essential services. It has been a resounding success so far, thanks to supporters like you.

I was especially touched by the supportive comments donors wrote with their donations, wishing students well in the school year ahead.

These comments have been a refreshing affirmation of the tremendous sense of community and connection we all share. Community and connection are so important as we continue working our way back from challenges that tested many of us – especially students – during the pandemic.

I felt a similar sense of inspiration and positivity at the annual Park Potomac Ice Cream Social for Charity, which supports our back-to-school campaign. Dozens of friends and neighbors gathered to have fun and to donate a record number of backpacks - 3,363! We are so very blessed to have the support of residents and businesses who for 14 years now have shown their commitment to their community and to helping those who need it.
