Join Interfaith Works as we host a panel of experts to discuss rental assistance opportunities for Montgomery County residents, and better understand eviction prevention. Panel members include individuals representing the following organizations: Montgomery County Renters Alliance Inc., Montgomery County Office of Home Energy Programs, Services to End and Prevent Homelessness, and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.
June is Pride month. Interfaith Works hosted a panel of experts to bring recognition to and discuss the specific needs of the LGBTQ+ community within service organizations.
CEO Courtney Hall testified before the Montgomery County Council on the FY24 budget. He thanked them and the County Executive for their support. Hall asked for additional funds to be able to continue delivering on core County programs addressing homelessness and retain staff in demanding jobs.
IW hosted an important Community Conversation on the challenges that families are facing due to the end of emergency SNAP food assistance benefits.
IW staff volunteered to take part in the annual Point in Time count, an overnight snapshot census of people experiencing homelessness.

IW was founded in 1972 and provides an array of vital programs aimed at helping neighbors find a pathway to stability. Interfaith Works, a local nonprofit organization, celebrated 50 years of service in Montgomery County on Wednesday. Local and state leaders joined the organization and recognized the work they have done for five decades.
