IW Drive Collects Winter Items for MoCo Residents

Interfaith Works (IW) collected 310 gently-worn coats and sweaters at the successful Culture Pop Kid Fest on October 1, 2022.

Hosted by Westfield Montgomery, the IW Coat Drive was part of a series of activities that included a concert from Koo Koo Kanga Roo and Beatbox Dads for the hundreds of parents and children who attended the indoor mall event in Bethesda, MD.

“IW is one of our most vital charity organizations,” Zeina Davis, Marketing Director of Westfield Montgomery, said. “We are their proud partner because we share the same commitment to serving our community.”

Westfield Montgomery hosted the free children’s festival and requested coat donations for IW.

“We are thankful to our friends at Westfield Montgomery for their continuing support and to the Culture Pop Fest participants who visited our stall,” Ms. Betsy Cheakalos, IW Director of Essential Needs, said. “With their help, many more families in Montgomery County will be kept warm during the winter months.”

The collected coats and sweaters will be distributed at the IW Clothing Center in October 2022. Those interested in donating similar items are invited to drop them at751 Twinbrook Parkway Number 8, Rockville, MD.
