IW Kicked Off Restaurant Fundraiser Series

With the goal of supporting local businesses and raising program funds, Interfaith Works (IW) launched a monthly Restaurant Fundraiser that started on September 26 at Paisano’s Pizza in Germantown, MD.

Teri Blandon, IW Director of Development, explained that the ongoing campaign will help deepen connections among IW’s staff, supporters, and partners, resulting in broader social impacts across Montgomery County.

“It is a win-win campaign because it helps us increase our visibility in the county and raise much needed funds, while our partners—who are working to recoup their losses after the two-year pandemic—will have an increase in their restaurant’s traffic, which can lead to more revenue.”

After the Paisano’s Pizza Share the Pie event, IW will be partnering with Chipotle Mexican Grill, Kaldi’s Social House, Panera Bread, and  BIBIBOP Asian Grill, among others. A percentage of the proceeds will support IW’s emergency shelter, supportive housing, essential needs, and employment programs, which serve over 35,000 Montgomery County clients annually.

Restaurants interested in partnering with IW can contact Phallon Perry, Foundations and Corporate Relations Officer, at pperry@iworksmc.org.
