Roslyn Roberts Joins Interfaith Works

Roslyn Roberts

Roslyn Roberts has been named Interfaith Works’ new Director of Faith and Community Partnerships. In this role, she will connect and collaborate with Montgomery County’s diverse faith communities to serve people experiencing poverty and homelessness and advance social justice causes.

Roslyn has spent decades in the nonprofit sector leading programs for families experiencing poverty. Prior to joining Interfaith Works, she served as Director of Rapid Rehousing and Youth Transitional Housing at Housing Up, a DC-based nonprofit that develops affordable housing and comprehensive support services to families experiencing poverty and homelessness.

As an ordained Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church, Roslyn has been active in interfaith communities for decades. Through this work, she has led fundraising efforts to benefit school children and has carried the message that people of every background have the right to be served and heard.

Interfaith Works CEO Courtney Hall said, “We are delighted to have Roslyn join us. Fifty years ago, faith organizations created what is now Interfaith Works and remain critical partners in how we serve our neighbors. Roslyn’s unique experience with managing programs for people experiencing homelessness combined with her engagement with diverse faith communities will be invaluable in fulfilling our commitment to embracing the rich tapestry of faiths in Montgomery County. Roslyn’s energy and passion for this work are evident and we are excited to have her expertise on the team.”

Roslyn said, “I am honored and excited to become a part of the Interfaith Works team, and to be able to serve the residents of Montgomery County. It is a pleasure to work alongside such gifted people who have the same passion I have for making a difference in the community.”

Roslyn earned a Master of Divinity from Howard University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Bowie State University. She loves to express her creativity in a variety of ways. In her free time, Roslyn enjoys painting and making beautiful flower arrangements. She finds that art keeps her motivated and helps her unwind.
