Faith Community Volunteer Resource Fair

On May 6, the community joined Interfaith Works and over 30 local organizations that provide a range of services to our neighbors for a Faith Community Volunteer Resource Fair, in collaboration with the Montgomery County Office of Community Partnerships. Community members learned about many volunteer opportunities to get involved including options eligible to earn Student Service Learning (SSL) hours. Special thanks to the Islamic Center of Maryland for providing a venue for the event as well as those who provided prizes for the free raffle.

Community members learned about different volunteer opportunities like:

  • Volunteering to bring meals to neighbors in need.

  • Providing neighbors with transportation support.

  • Spending time with those in need of emotional support.

  • Helping students and children learn about financial literacy.
