Changes at IW Food HUB

Beginning July 5, the Interfaith Works Food HUB at Twinbrook (at the IW Clothing Center location) will shift to a choice pantry model instead of the drive-through program. The choice pantry model will allow families to select food items themselves, which is the most dignified way to receive food. This process also will provide more opportunities for us to interact and share information about programs and resources with shoppers.

For those interested in donating food:

Very shortly we will accept any unopened shelf stable food, as well as produce items.  We also hope to increase our refrigeration and freezer space in the near future. Stay tuned for more details!

Volunteer Information:

Starting July 5th, we will have volunteering slots from Tuesday – Friday.

Times will be:

  • 9 AM – 10:30 AM

  • 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM

  • 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM

  • 2:30 – 4 PM

Slots for HUB July volunteering will be added by June 29, so stay tuned.

Volunteers will be helping us restock the store, help answer questions that our families have, check expirations dates, and help keep track of inventory.  Restocking will be our main priority at the beginning.
