The Lemonade Fairy

Interfaith Works supporter six-year-old Raeden knows that even the smallest among us can make a difference. On a hot summer day, Raeden asked her family to help set up a lemonade stand in her neighborhood. Her mom and grandmother were happy to pitch in!

Raeden really wanted to help her community. She shared, “I wanted to help people who were less fortunate and give them some money to help!” The “Lemonade Fairy” -- what Raeden dubbed herself -- was joined by her younger brother, selling lemonade for $2 a cup. Neighbors could not only feel refreshed on a hot summer day, but also help make a difference.

Raeden and her family raised $80 from the lemonade stand. She, with the help of her family, decided to donate that money to Interfaith Works.

Her father says, "I'm very proud to see her putting care and creativity into something she is passionate about. I hope to be able to keep up with her ambitions and support her goals of helping others."

We are so grateful to all members of this community for their commitment to helping each other. Thank you to Raeden and her awesome family for their commitment to supporting our neighbors through their journey to stability!
